Volunteering With Bristol Sailability
There is no doubt that the stretch of water in the heart of Bristol is a super place to be with like minded people offering their help and support to enable people, to access the challenging sport of sailing.
Being a volunteer with Bristol Sailability is a fantastic experience, they are what make our organisation the success that it is, we could not function without them.
From helping to rig boats to taking disabled users out onto the water sailing, or in the power boats, it is rewarding and great fun.
You don’t need any sailing, water based skills or experience to participate, as all training is given by experienced instructors. - Even if you have never thought about sailing before; it’s no barrier to volunteering with us. Our volunteers come along as often as their time allows.
We give training in powerboating, sailing, disability awareness, first aid and manual handling. We welcome people from all backgrounds and walks of life as our volunteers, disabled or ablebodied - all that matters is wanting to do something worthwhile and to be a part of a thriving and dynamic organisation.
If you are unable to come regularly to the docks you can volunteer with us by using your skills in an administrative capacity in fundraising, book keeping or whatever your area of expertise is.
If you would like to volunteer your time and skills to help make Bristol Sailability the place we want it to be - or just want to know more - then please contact us by e- mail at gill.hannan@hotmail.com.
